“Hi I am Kasadyand I wanted to know more about Quirk Books for my book report. However, I am not able to find any information. The only thing I know is he published the great book of Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children!!!!!!!!!!!”

Hi Kasadyand!

You can learn a lot about our publishing house over on our website, where we blog about life here and highlight our books. Check it out at

If you have more questions, feel free to email me. I’d be happy to talk to you more for your book report.

“I'm wondering if it is possible to obtain performance rights for William Shakespeare's Star Wars? I would love to stage a community theatre production of it!”

Hey Jon! I saw your tweet to Ian earlier. Sadly, no, performance rights aren’t available at the moment. Maybe someday though!

“Hello! I'm very interested in knowing more about the Quirk Books internship program but I can't find any information on it. If you could help point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it! :)”

Hey Sarah!

Details regarding internships can generally be found on our website when they are available.

If its blank (as it is now) that doesn’t mean something isn’t available. It might just mean we’re busy (we are!). If you’re looking to intern in editorial, feel free to email an editor (contact info is on the site in submissions).

Good luck!

“Hi Quirk! I was wondering if what you look for in a query letter differs from what the usual internet guide suggests. Have you ever/are you able to post any successful queries of Quirk books?”

Hey there anonymous!

Short and sweet is really the best. Limit the query to a page or so, and if you have sample pages, send them on over! We read everything that comes through. Our publisher, Jason Rekulak, wrote a post about just that

You can also scope out our submission guidelines on our site, but that’ll basically say what I just said.

And publishing successful queries is a FANTASTIC idea. Already emailed our editors about that. I’ll see if we can do that in the future.
